About Alumgal Rubber Nursery & Agro Farm
Alumgal rubber nursery & Agro Farm was started in the year 1990 by Jomon. The nursery is located at Mathirapilly, Kothamangalam in 20 acres of land.
The nursery is set in a beautiful location surrounded by paddy fields and water canal. As a result water is always in abundance in the nursery which makes irrigation process easy. Also cow manure required for fertilizers is produced in the nursery itself. Different varieties of rubber plants are available in the nursery. Special varieties of rubber plants which are named as `105` and `430` are available here. The crops are planted in cups and plastic bags. The budding is done with bud woods which are less than 3 years old. Around 7000 bud woods are stumped in 4 acres of land.
Apart from rubber plants the nursery also has other varieties of plants like teak, rambutan, Jaathy, jack fruit tree etc.
